Artists, Take Your Stand

I posted this message on Facebook in August 2018 and again in August 2019. The message is especially important in 2020, with civilization under assault.

Are you an artist who loves beauty, not ugliness; virtues, not flaws; heroes, not mediocrities; integrity, not contradictions; clarity, not ambiguity; aspiration, not futility; romance, not promiscuity; eloquence, not vulgarity; melody and harmony, not noise? And, yes, are you an artist who loves masculine men and feminine women, not effeminate men and feminist women; and, yes, do you love Western civilization, capitalism, and America?

Do you hesitate to ‘come out’ and to endure harassment from the orthodoxy in your profession?

You are not alone.

Be virtuous. Have integrity. Be strong. Be beautiful. Be a hero or heroine, in your art and your life. Take your stand.
