Book Recommendation: Variations on a Noble Theme

I am primarily a writer, but sometimes I will edit a book by special request. In 2019 I edited America’s Revolutionary Mind: A Moral History of the American Revolution and the Declaration That Defined It, a landmark book by C. Bradley Thompson. (See my brief review.) This year I edited the forthcoming novel, Variations on a Noble Theme, a masterpiece by Glenn Daniel Marcus.

Coincidentally, both of these books deal with the same time period. Variations on a Noble Theme is about eighteenth-century musicians who defy the noble class to make music together. For more information on the novel, see Glenn’s website.

When the publication date draws near, my review will appear. In the meantime, if you are a current subscriber to my blog and would like a free advance reader e-copy of the novel (in return for signing up for Glenn’s free blog), just reply to the email notice I sent you for this post and include text like, “Please send me a link for Variations on a Noble Theme.” Glenn is making free e-copies available to select individuals (such as my subscribers) in order to spread word of mouth before publication.
