Reason vs. Wokeness in the Montessori World

In a recent lecture entitled “During These Turbulent Times, What Is The One Thing the Child Needs To Know?,” Montessori teacher and author Charlotte Cushman brilliantly integrates epistemology and pedagogy.

Before I could get around to posting the above recommendation, a second reason to write about Charlotte has arisen. The woke in the Montessori world just canceled a lecture by Charlotte because she wrote an article for American Thinker entitled “Is Social Justice Posturing on Track to Contaminate Montessori Education.” That’s right, the woke canceled Charlotte for criticizing wokeness. Moreover, the canceled lecture was not even on the topic of wokeness.

Not one to submit to evil, Charlotte has written a cogent reply, published today by American Thinker, in an article entitled “Montessori Teacher Fights ‘Social Justice’.”

I highly recommend the above lecture and two articles by Charlotte. I also highly recommend Charlotte’s books.

An excellent essay by Charlotte appears in the second edition of my book, Masculine Power, Feminine Beauty: The Volitional, Objective Basis for Heterosexuality in Romantic Love and Marriage.
